Skin Appendages

Hair follicules

Origin of Appendages

  1. Hair follicular > epidermis invaginate into dermis like gland formation then the stems cells form hair bulb and produces keratin and bundles them hair.

Types of glands in Skin

  1. Sebaceous gland => Secbum ==> Moisturising
  2. Apocrine sweat gland =>Nervousness ==> protein rich fluid => bacteria eats => Bad smell
  3. Eccrine sweat gland ==>via a duct => sweat during summer (cooling function)

Acne

Secbum Triglycerides produced by Sebaceous gland is breakdown by bacteria to free Fatty acid which irritates the skin form acne lesion ==> blockage of sebum inside hair follicles with lymphocyte infiltration.
