Symptoms¶
- Gi
- Paraquat tongue

- Esophageal and gastric erosion
- Pulmonary: occurs due to distribution to pneumocytes
- Pneumonitis
- Pulmonary fibrosis (delayed) -
- Multiorgan failure
- Acute renal failure
- Hepatic necrosis
- Myocardial necrosis
- Internal bleeding
Diagnosis¶
- Urine
- Serum paraquat lvls
Mng¶
- Decontamination of Exposure
- Charcoal within 1-2hrs
- intubation as Pulmonary injury with low O2 monitering for Free radicals
- Anti-free radical therapy [ vitamin C , NAC ]
- dialysis . steroids Contraversila
